Her name is Daisy. She has an ear infection and an eye infection. She has been abandoned twice, that's why we got her for free.We found her on a Chinese website. There are some more small dogs on that website that are for free but two barkers is enough for our family!

SHE EVEN SLEEPS UNDER THE BLANKETS WITH US AT NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!

Yr5/6 Tee Ball 2011

The Year 5/6 tee ball day was a great day to be outside playing. Ramarama showed great sportsmanship and played fairly.
Well done to the Ramarama Tigers for coming first out of fourteen teams, winning all six games.
All the schools played their best and that is what made the day a success.
I think that everybody had a lot of fun. Thank you to Mr McNeil and the teachers for organising the day.

Homework 23/3

FUNDRAISING IDEAS

Come up with 2-3 fundraising ideas that our class could do to raise money for Japan. Talk them over with family and friends - which ideas do they like and why?

If we were to do a 'wheels day' at school - what things would we need to organise? How could we run it as a fundraiser?

You can post your ideas as a comment on this blog so we can all think/discuss them before next week.

Our class was wondering if Waitangi Day on a public holiday, made a difference to what people did than if it was on a weekend.
We found out that if Waitangi Day was on a public holiday more people would go away than if it was on a weekend.

Something to think about...

Today in class we started an interesting discussion around what is bravery? Do you have to risk your life to be brave? Do you have to be scared to be brave?

Three more cases to consider:
1. Sandy jumps off the bottom step onto the ground, and walks away to buy her lunch.
2. Candy jumps off the highest diving board, lands with a splash and swims to the ladder.
3. Mandy jumps off the top of her house, lands with a splat, breaks both legs and both arms and gets taken to hospital.

Do you think that Sandy, Candy and Mandy are brave? Why or why not?

Homework Wed 9/2

MATHS
Do you think Waitangi Day falling on a weekend rather than a weekday (public holiday) makes a difference to how people choose to spend it?

State a hypothesis (what you think, yes I think it makes a difference, no I don’t think it makes a difference).

Discuss with your family...what did you do this year vs last year or previous years?

READ for at least 15 mins.
